Intro

This is a diet diary. I used to be 100kg, but have dropped to 85kg over a couple of years. I want to drop to 80kg and then stabilize. Over the past two years, I have managed to cut out alcohol (with the occasional relapse), cigarettes (no relapse for two years) and coffee (for just under a month, apart from the occasional decaf).
I'm still a bulky guy, though. Given my weak right ankle, my father's history of heart disease and diabetes, my age (41), I want to lose those extra kilos.
I'm living in Japan, which has some very healthy food. Unfortunately, the convenience stores here have a great selection of chocolates. Currently, that's my huge weakness. I've been eating chocolate every day for about 3 weeks, which is the downside of giving up the booze. I sometimes buy 2-3 bars of chocolate at a time, then go back in the evening.
Anyway, I'm setting up this blog in the hope it will give me some impetus on the first day of my chocolate-free regime!
